Record Broken: Webb Just Spotted The Oldest Star Clusters To Date

The James Webb Space Telescope has spotted the oldest and one of the most distant individual globular clusters to date. These clusters, named Sparkles, were found around a gravitationally lensed galaxy at a redshift of 1.378.

The host galaxy, named Sparkler, lies near the center of the Webb First Deep Field image.
