Plot Twist! The Andromeda-Milky Way Merger Has Begun
The collision between Andromeda and Milky way is another future phenomenon that s expected to take place in about 4. 5 billion years and this will be the case because the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies are destined to merge.
They are both spirals and are the largest galaxies in the local group of galaxies which is made up of more than fifteen galaxies.
With both came close to each other, the cynical will of gravity to attract them closer and closer in what would be an entrose spectacular merger.
This process takes possibly for several billion years and leads to formation of a new, larger galaxy which is called often ‘Milkomeda’ or ‘Milkdromeda. ’ Individual stars in each of the galaxies themselves do not collide because space between the stars is too big however the galaxies themselves will distort and distort and pull each other creating new forms and formations of new stars.
This event must occur as it will change the scenery of the night sky by making Andromeda brighter and increasingly conspicuous as time passes. It will change dynamics by squeezing gaseous and dusty material in such a way that it can possibly lead to formation of new stars and planetary systems.
While the collision may seem lethal to the viewer, there is a possibility that the solar system and the Earth would survive albeit in moderately different environment.
