NASA’s Alert System Just Detected 500 Massive Miles-Wide Structures Passing By In Space
When Oumuamua traveled through our Solar System back in 2017, people around the world paid attention. It was the first Interstellar visitor astronomers had ever identified.
Then in August 2019, Comet 2I Borisov traveled through our Solar System, becoming the second interstellar visitor to cruise through. Together, the visitors generated a wave of inquiry and speculation.
As astronomers tracked these objects through various telescopes, they detected what NASA described as “non-gravitational acceleration in the motion.” In other words, acceleration or speed that scientists can’t attribute to gravity alone.
Something inside these objects was adding to their speed.
While Oumuamua and Borisov were asteroids or comets, speculated to be extraterrestrial artifacts of natural entities, astronomers now speculate that there might be entire planets withing our solar system of alien origins.
