Michio Kaku: Supermassive Black Hole found near Earth | What is Blackhole and Supernova Universe
A supermassive black hole (SMBH) is an extremely dense and massive celestial object found at the centers of most galaxies, including our own Milky Way. These black holes are characterized by their immense mass, ranging from hundreds of thousands to billions of times the mass of our sun.
One well-known example of a supermassive black hole is Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*), located at the center of our Milky Way galaxy. Observations of other galaxies, such as M87, have also provided important insights into the nature of supermassive black holes.
