Do We Live in Void? Recent Studies Suggest That We Live In A Galactic Void
A galactic Void region is a region of space which contains substantially lower amount of galaxies as compared to the average amount of galaxies present in the universe.
Such great bubbles empty of matter can be hundreds of millions of light years across and are some of the largest known structures in the universe. The areas inside voids are not vapid, they hold dark matter, sparse gas and have several galactic formations.
This is so because voids are a predominant feature of the large scale structure of the universe which is composed of galaxy clusters and super clusters linked through filaments in what is like a cosmic web. Specifically, the analysis of the voids helps astronomers to determine the location of the matter in the universe, to receive more data about the dark energy, and to find out how the formations in space occurred during billions of years.
Exploring these empty spaces, various researchers are able to comprehend the issues of the universe and the basics of cosmology.
