China Might Have Picked Radio Signals From Alien Civilizations

China says its FAST radio telescope, the biggest in the world, might have picked up traces of signals from alien civilizations. The telescope was put to work to hunt for radio signals that could hint at alien civilizations in 2019. After analyzing the data in 2020, the researchers said they recorded two strange signals.

The two suspicious signals lie in the narrow-band frequency most commonly used by aircraft and satellites. Then again, in 2022, they picked up weird radio signals in an exoplanet survey, bringing up the tally to three.

Researchers are working on ensuring that the signals aren’t a result of radio interferences as many times in the past. Nevertheless, the Wow! Signal of August 1977 remains one of radio astronomy’s biggest mysteries.
