K2-18b, also named EPIC 201912552 b, is an exoplanet orbiting a small, red star named K2-18, positioned about 124 light-years away from us. Initially spotted using the Kepler space telescope, this planet is about eight times more massive than Earth, earning it the nickname Mini-Neptune.

It completes one orbit around its star in approximately 33 days, falling within the habitable zone where conditions may support liquid water. This zone receives a comparable amount of starlight to Earth from the Sun, raising the possibility of conditions similar to ours.
