Boeing Starliner Returns Empty, Leaving Astronauts Stranded in Space
Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft successfully landed in New Mexico early on September 7, concluding a troubled test mission that faced considerable challenges.
However, the Starliner returned to Earth without its crew of NASA astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who remained aboard the International Space Station due to thruster concerns.
Originally intended for an 8-day mission, the astronauts will now remain on the ISS until February 2025, returning via a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
