After Conquering The Moon, India Sets Its Eyes On BLACK HOLES!
The race for space dominance is constantly underway. Every country is trying to one-up each other while trying to be the number one in space exploration. And now India has performed a feat which has only been achieved by the United States a couple of years ago. After successfully landing on the south side of the moon in August 2023 with its Chandrayaan-3 mission, the Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO has now set its sights on the study of something that has been baffling astronomers for decades.
But going back to the launch that took place on New Year’s, India successfully launched the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite, also called XPoSat. This is India’s first satellite to conduct research on black holes and other celestial objects. It was launched on a PSLV rocket and it has an expected operational lifespan of at least five years.
Will India succeed in unraveling the mysteries behind this ginormous space phenomenon? And will this put India at the forefront of space exploration ahead of China, Russia, and the United States?
