A Super Rare Kilonova Explosion Was Captured By Hubble Telescope!

A kilonova is a radical explosion in deep space unlike anything you’ve ever heard of before. That’s because it’s not just one star breaking down or exploding, it’s actually two stars coming together and putting on a fantastic light show that sets it apart from anything else in the cosmos.

The thing about a kilonova is that it’s exceedingly rare so not much is known about it. It’s hard enough to find one star that’s reached the end of its life cycle – Let alone two that are merging together.

However, NASA’s Hubble Telescope recently caught sight of a kilonova and it was truly something special, incredibly unique, and awe-inspiring.
