Australian researchers have demonstrated that time travel is theoretically feasible by resolving a logical paradox.

Physicists from University of Queensland simulated a study in which “General relativity” of Einstein was considered against classical dynamics using mathematical modeling. The idea of fusion of these two types of matter is what causes the classic grandfather paradox related to time travel.

Thus, the theory implies that as an offshoot of going back in time, there is a possibility of that person getting rid of their grandfather; subsequently, cutting off the roots of existence, hence forming a time loop. However, classical physics says the consequences following show that the very person who has time-traveled would be non-existent before the act.

Lead researcher Germain Tobar stated, “As physicists, we aim to comprehend the universe’s most fundamental laws, and for years I’ve been contemplating how the science of dynamics aligns with Einstein’s predictions. ” The question remains: Is time transport tenable from the mathematical viewpoint?

Mr. Tobar and Dr. Costa report that they settled for the question of the compatibility between these two theories by a model on the coronavirus outbreak. In their time-traveling video, they picture the potentiality of one of its characters venturing into the past to stop patient zero from getting Covid-19.

Just as time travel is considered factual to Einstein’s theory, and according to dynamic science this is an unthinkable altering of the foundation of events.

These consequences are related to the original time travelers’ reason for going back in time being obsolete if they occur in the course of time travelers stopping the scourge from spreading.

“You could try to protect the patient zero from getting infected by coronavirus but you would still get infected at the end. And if you were not the patient zero some other person could be,” this is what Mr. Tobar said during an example about the coronavirus patient zero.

“No matter how complex the events were they would continually get realigned around and push you back in to the middle of the drama. ”Can you believe that? That was the situation. With regret or otherwise, no matter what you would do, the pandemic would still happen, giving way to your younger self the courage to go back and change the future. You may attempt to invent a paradox all you want, but the events will adjust themselves to whichever variation eliminates the backtracking or acquires consistency.

“The set of the math operations we observed doesn´t prove the impossibility of time travel nor free will, since they are not contradicting our universe, at least logically. ”

Fabio Costa, a physicist at the University of Queensland, and head of the study, adding: “The math is perfect, the results show us that instead of stuff from science fiction, science becomes fiction. ”

The work titled “Classical and Quantum Gravity” was published in this journal.
