There are proofs of what Mars looked like 4 billion years ago. When they found vestiges of a massive river delta, evidence of former lakes – that sparked the creative juices. There may have been clouds in the atmosphere.

The surface would have been absolutely beautiful.

Previous Mars missions, such as those utilizing robotic rovers, landers, and orbiters, have provided additional empirical evidence supporting the likelihood of this wet past.

And that’s very exciting – Where there was water, there could have been life, right?
