What Is Venus Hiding under the Mysterious Atmosphere? Geography of the Planet!
Venus is the second closest planet to the sun and is known to have the most extreme conditions among all the solar system planets. It has a thick and poisonous atmosphere of carbon dioxide and yellow and hazy clouds of sulphuric acid, and its surface is barren, dry, and crushed under an atmosphere 90 times the pressure of Earth’s.
This creates a runaway greenhouse effect and makes Venus the hottest planet in the solar system despite being further away from the sun than Mercury.
This has caused researchers to theorize that Venus may have been very different in the past, potentially hosting liquid oceans and inhabitable conditions.
