68% of the Universe Was Missing So Far. We May Have Found It In One Go
A recent study has shown that black holes could be the source of dark energy, one of the most mysterious entities in the universe. According to the lambda-CDM model, almost 68% of the observable universe is composed of dark energy. What comprises dark energy is responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe. But we have little to no knowledge of the true nature of dark energy.
And now, a team of researchers, after studying elliptical galaxies over different eras of the universe, has concluded that dark energy could be hiding inside black holes.
But how is it even possible? What did the astronomers observe in nature that led them to this hypothesis? Finally, and most importantly, why is this idea so controversial?
