The lord of the planets is Jupiter – the largest planet of the solar system that is a giant gas body and is greatly appealing to all the stargazers and space lovers.

It also has an immense storm called The Great Red Spot, which has been present on Jupiter for hundreds of years I believe As you may have guessed, most of Jupiter is made of hydrogen and helium, alike the Sun.

Jupiter is known to be surrounded by an impressive system of rings and its moons are comprised of a huge extended family, of which the four biggest moons are known as the Galilean moons, namely Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Here are intriguing moons in their own right; Ganymede is the largest moon in the Solar system and Europa is thought to have a subsurface ocean that could sustain life.

Jupiter’s powerful magnetic field also creates radiation belt that makes the exploration very difficult but its stunning features and unexplained phenomena keep researchers engaged and vision of people who want to explore the universe and find more about the mysteries of space.
